Matt Schoen has been a trusted advisor to major financial institutions for nearly three decades in the areas of benefit finance and hedging, non-qualified and general welfare plans, and insurance product development. He is particularly skilled at advising banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions that face rigorous regulatory and accounting considerations with respect to BOLI/COLI plans. As an example of his innovative approach to problem-solving, Matt is co-inventor on over 15 patents related to insurance, financial products and risk mitigation.
In addition to being founder and president of MBSA, he is a founding principal of Private Placement Insurance Products, LLC (a FINRA broker/dealer); Concept Hedging, LLC; DC Plan Insurance Solutions, LLC; and zChocolat.com. Matt serves on the board of directors and has actively volunteered for 20 years for Unlocking Futures (formerly Youth at Risk, Inc.), an internationally renowned non-profit organization based in New York City.
